The UK government has decided to extend the life-cycle benefits of Augmentin to all children aged over six years. This would enable children who need this medication to continue to benefit from the benefits, which are listed below, as long as they remain at the age of 12.
Life-cycle benefits for the elderly are an important part of the health-care system. These benefits are given by the disposal of certain ‘product groups’ in the form of water, salt or other additives (e.g. nutraceuticals) which are used to produce specific health and safety products for a particular individual or a group of people. The disposal of these ‘product groups’ would ensure that all the life-cycle products produced by the ‘product groups’ would have the same levels of quality, safety and effectiveness. The disposal of these life-cycle products would also be subject to the same standards of quality, quality control and purity as the finished products produced by other life-cycle products.
The life-cycle benefits for Augmentin for children are similar to those for adults, with some benefits given for the elderly.
The medicine contains two active ingredients, Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor, which helps prevent the bacteria from becoming resistant to penicillins and other beta-lactamase inhibitors. Amoxicillin is available in many different strengths, such as 1.2 milligram (milligrams) tablets, 1.4 milligram (milligrams) capsules, 1.6 milligram (milligrams) tablets, 2.2 milligram (milligrams) capsules, and 4 milligram (milligrams) tablets. Amoxicillin works by preventing the bacteria from growing and multiplying, leading to better antibiotic efficacy and preventing the development of resistant strains of bacteria. This medicine is a combination of two antibiotics, Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxicillin is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including those that are resistant to penicillins or other beta-lactamase inhibitors.
